  1. Hi,

    Just wanted to ask, which Law or NTC memo provides certain exemption for EcE from the amateur radio exam.

    Also which element in the amateur exams an EcE supposed take to get a Class B?

    Appreciate any info, thanks

  2. NTC MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 03-08-2012
    SECTION IV

    5. Special Candidates – A registered Electronics and Communication Engineer or a
    holder of a valid commercial first radiotelephone operator certificate is qualified
    to hold an amateur Class “B” provided he shall pass the examination for element
    II without undergoing the examination for Class “C”. Similarly, a holder of a
    valid first/or second class commercial radiotelegraph radio operator certificate
    shall be required to pass the examination for element II only.

    Element II - Rules and Regulations


    3. Examination Coverage – The examination shall cover the rules, procedures and
    technical materials that an amateur will need to know in order to operate a station
    properly. The examination for amateurs shall cover the following general
    subjects:
    3.1 Element I - Morse Code
    3.2 Element II - Rules and Regulations
    3.3 Element III - Fundamentals of Electronics and Electricity
    3.4 Element IV - Amateur Radio Practice
    3.5 Element V - Signals, Frequencies and Emission
    3.6 Element VI - Circuit Components
    3.7 Element VII - Operating Procedures
    3.8 Element VIII - Practical Circuits
    3.9 Element IX - Antenna and Transmission Lines
    3.10 Element X - Radio Wave Propagation

  3. Sir, what's the best way to obtain the 1st Class RTO cert?
    Tried to search online, can't find any training school or center.

    1. Kung graduate ka ng BS ECE or any Operator course in Radio Communications ay makakapag exam ka ng Radiotelephone Operator. I suggest if you have time, visit NTC office para makapagtanong about exam requirements/qualifications.

  4. Good day sir! Gusto ko po sana malaman kung qualified po ako kumuha ng ECT. Graduate po ako ng BS Industrial Education major in Electronics Technology. Thanks po

    1. kung at least 2 year course yan,. tiyak you are qualified to take the ect exam.

    2. if ever hindi tinanggap ng PRC processor ang iyong application for ECT exam, sabihin mo na let the Board of Electronics Engineering decide para isubmit sa BECE office for approval.

  5. Aside from amateur radio optr exam can a licensed ECE(electronics engr. R.A.9292) take radiotelephony examination?
